Every registered athlete gets a short sleeve 2019 race shirt.
Enjoy the country’s most scenic and exciting skating and rollerski event along the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior! The 26.2 mile marathon begins just south of Two Harbors and continues along Scenic Hwy 61, rolling through the Interstate-35 freeway tunnels, and finishing in the heart of the city at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.
The entire course is completely closed to outside traffic and all the pavement on the course has been redone within the last 5 years for maximum smoothness!
**All event participants must be at 26th Avenue East (entrance to the freeway) by 1:30pm be able to complete the event. This is Mile 23. The course MUST be opened to traffic at 2pm.
Skaters under 13 years of age must have their entry approved by the Executive Director.
In order to increase safety and ease crowding, Inline Marathon skaters must register for the correct wave based on past performances and projected finish times. Please see the wave placement guide below and select the corresponding wave during the online race registration process. Race and wave changes after submitting online registration is available on our registration site (www.tempotickets.com/nsim2019). All race changes are subject to a $15 processing fee.

The race will be held rain or shine. There are no transfers of race packets or bib numbers, no deferrals, and no refunds.
Race Insurance Package. This $15 registration add-on includes no questions-asked race refund or deferral to 2020, and free wave or race transfer.
How to purchase Race Insurance Package: When you register for the 2019 NorthShore Inline Marathon, additionally select the Race Insurance Package option for $15 and you will be automatically enrolled.

Team Divisions: Male, Female, and Co-Ed*
Any Race Team, Skate Club or other formal or informal group of skaters can create a team to compete in a Team division.
*Male and Female must have all the same gender to be placed in their division. Co-Ed division must have at least 2 Male and 2 Female, and a total of 5 skaters or more to be eligible for awards.
First, all team members must enter their Team Name during the online registration process. Please ensure that spelling and punctuation is identical for every team member’s registration entry.
Next, all teams must submit a roster identifying all members and the Team Captain (contact person). Only non-elite skaters may participate in the Team Challenge. Each participant is only eligible for ONE team and one category: male, female, or co-ed. (Please complete the form below by August 23, 2019).

The top 3 Inline Marathon finishers in each gender specific age class will be awarded an engraved medallion, in recognition of their impressive accomplishment, at the NSIM awards ceremony at Grandma’s Sports Garden.
NorthShore Skate Awards (Inline Half Marathon, Combined, Rollerski Marathon, Inline Marathon and National Championship) are at 2:30 PM at Grandma’s Sports Garden.
