Race Insurance Information

* Race refund option. No questions asked refund for 2023 registration. (100% refund request must be made by August 20, 2023, or a 50% refund will be granted if the refund request is before made prior to September 1, 2023). No refunds are granted without Race Insurance Package, under any circumstances!

* Race deferral option. Prior to September 1, 2023 you can use your race insurance to defer your 2023 registration to 2024, no questions asked.  No deferrals are granted without a Race Insurance Package, under any circumstances!

*Free race transfer. Transfer your 2023 registration to any other person free of charge. (Transfer must be requested prior to, September 1, 2023).

*Free race change. Change your race (from marathon to half, for instance), and you just pay the difference (if applicable). (Change must be requested prior to September 1, 2023). Note: we will not reimburse the difference between race prices. For instance, since the marathon costs more than the half marathon, we will not reimburse you if you move from the marathon to the half marathon.

*Free wave transfer. Change your wave for no additional fee. (Change must be requested by end of day, September 4, 2023).

*Come September 1, 2023, you may defer your 2023 registration to 2024, provided you have special circumstances that prevent you from participating in the event.  A September 1 or later deferral is at the discretion of the NSIM, as costs for your swag and other expenses associated with your entry will already have been incurred.  Race day weather is not considered a special circumstance.  Examples of Special Circumstances  - major injury, canceled flight, positive COVID test, etc. You may be asked to provide documentation of your special circumstances. (Change must be requested by the end of day, September 17, 2023).  No deferrals are granted without Race Insurance Package, under any circumstances!

**Note: without the Race Insurance Package, there are NO refunds or deferrals under any circumstances!
