Skate for Sarah is a project by Robichon’s Skate Ventures Skate School to honor Sarah Gutknecht by offering FREE skate lessons in exchange for a donation to Operation Smile.
Sarah Gutknecht was a former student and instructor for Robichon’s. In March of 2016, Sarah was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and fought for a year and a half. Sarah passed away peacefully in her home with her loving family by her side on August 24, 2017.
During hospice care, Sarah instructed us to “keep the rubber on the road”. In keeping with her desire to have us keep inline skating (rollerblading) rolling, ROBICHON’S is offering a thirty-minute free inline skate lesson to individuals new to the sport and/or those struggling to overcome their fears of skating outdoors or how to stop. In exchange, they are asking for a donation to one of Sarah’s favorite organizations, Operation Smile. Lesson dates, details and sign up can be found in the link below.
“We love you and all of your generous gifts you selflessly shared with us, Sarah. Your smile and eyes, the windows into a soul with infinite power to heal and love. Thank you for touching us so deeply with your endless genuine care and concern for others. Rest assured, until we see you again, your legacy will continue with all those you touched and beyond. Until then, you will be greatly missed” – Noelle Robichon, Skate School Director
