The NorthShore Inline Marathon is proud to announce that it has formed a partnership with Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota as part of our 20th anniversary celebration! In September 2015, LSS will celebrate its 150th anniversary in Minnesota, where it helps homeless youth, serves seniors with disabilities and provides adoption services.
Each night 120-150 young people have no place to call home in northeastern Minnesota. LSS is developing the Center for Changing Lives in Duluth which will create new transitional and permanent subsidized housing and bring together all of LSS’s at-risk youth programs. LSS will work with area churches, businesses and foundations to field teams for the inline marathon that will raise funds for the Center, as well as provide volunteers to help with the 2015 marathon. Clinics will be offered across the area for LSS participants who want to learn to skate.
Join LSS and the Inline Marathon in ending youth homelessness in our community. Stay tuned for more information and sign up to skate for LSS!
