The NorthShore lnline Marathon is a 501 (c) (3) Minnesota non-profit corporation incorporated on August 27, 1996. The primary purpose of the NorthShore lnline Marathon, Inc. is to foster national and international amateur inline skating competition and to promote health and fitness through the organization, promotion, development and execution of a recreational inline skating marathon. The Board of Directors of the North Shore Inline Marathon are responsible for the policies, budget approval and race operations.
NorthShore Inline Marathon, Inc., produces eight different races every September. Now in our 26th year, we have been able to achieve our mission year after year of producing high-quality skating competition thanks to a pristine point-to-point race course and tremendous support for key partners such as the City of Duluth, Saint Louis and Lake Counties, MN Department of Transportation, and race sponsors.
Over the years, we have added race distances to the Skate races (now including the Half Marathon Skate, Combined 39.3 Mile Skate, and Tunnel 10k Skate), and added running and rollerski races. Runners can compete in the St. Luke’s Wheels-Off Half Marathon Run or Tunnel 10k Run, and rollerski racers can compete in the 42k Rollerski or 21k Rollerski.
Furthermore, every year we strive to achieve our mission of fostering an active lifestyle by encouraging people try to new outdoor fitness activities such as skating, running, and rollerskiing by offering free group exercise and inline skate rental opportunities year-round for the general public.
NorthShore Inline Marathon, Inc. spends all year leading up to our annual event – the NorthShore Inline Marathon and Skate Fest.
This year, skaters from all around the world will converge in Duluth, Minnesota to experience a full weekend of racing, expo vendors, social skating activities, demonstrations, and skills clinics.
