Registrants with no previous NSIM history must choose their wave (one-time basis only). Participants with multiple finishes will receive wave placement based on their most forward wave qual performance from the last three events. In the event of a three or more year ‘break in participation’ in the NSIM, a skater will be placed in their most recently qual’d for wave. Wave placement will be made on a first received, first placed basis.

Rules and Information:
  • Anyone is eligible, skaters only (includes quads).
  • There will be a new “Wave C” in the full marathon for the COMBINED skaters.
  • COMBINED skaters are not eligible for half marathon and full marathon awards and cash prizes. There will be separate awards for this category.
  • Skaters will have their own bib color that will be worn for both events.
  • There will be separate t-shirts given to those that participate.
  • The last bus leaving for the full start will be at 8 AM. After that, you are responsible for your own transportation from the finish line back up to the full start.

If you want to skate both events and be eligible for awards in each event, you must register separately. You can still ride the provided buses after you finish the half marathon. No special awards will be granted for these athletes since they are eligible for prizes as they are participating in two separate events.

AGE LIMITS

Skaters under 13 years of age must have their entry approved by the Executive Director.

ENTRY FEES ARE NONREFUNDABLE

The race will be held rain or shine. There are no transfers of race packets or bib numbers and no refunds. Wave changes must be approved by NSIM personnel and will cost $10/per chg…thru July 31 / $20 from Aug 1 thru Aug 31. Please register early. There are no “energy” gels or drinks at the water stations.

WAVE CHANGES

Changes in waves will be handled on a individual basis. Each skater qualifies for their wave, based on their previous race performance(s). Wave changes may be granted, in unusual circumstances, by request to the Executive Director. Wave change fees are: $10 by July 31st / $20 after July 31st. Due to the higher volume of wave change requests nearer to race day, and the interference it causes the NSIM staff to prepare the race for all, there will be no wave change requests after September 1st. Please register early! Thank you!

*NEW* Shirts will be available at packet pickup for participants.
