Welcome New Race Director

The NorthShore Inline Marathon would like to welcome Mike Ward to the NSIM staff as Race Director! Mike take over for Brandon Colucci for the 2017 event, as Brandon pursues his field of study in marketing analytics.

“Mike Ward brings a wealth of knowledge and I’m excited to tap into his ideas about sports marketing and event planning for the NorthShore Inline Marathon. I’m happy to have him aboard and part of the team,” says Executive Director Skeeter Moore.

Mike’s previous roles include Chief Timer for Duluth Running Co., Marketing and Sponsorship Director for the Superior Man Triathlon in Duluth, and Territory Manager at ARI Network Services. His diverse background in sales, marketing, web development, as well as a deep knowledge of enduring racing as a timer, race director, volunteer and participant, will serve him well in the new position as Race Director for the NorthShore Inline Events. He is an avid runner, skater, triathlete, hiker and cyclist for nearly 10 years, competing in several events each year.

“I am so excited to begin this journey with the NorthShore Inline. Skeeter and the Board of Directors have been nothing but excited, receptive and responsive during the transition,” says Mike. “I want to bring fresh energy and new ideas to the race, and explore every way to grow the event and add value to our athletes.”

In the past, Mike has volunteered for the NorthShore Inline Marathon with setup and operations, and was head timer for the 2015 event.
